How we make logical guesses about what happened.
- Must have + past participle: Certain it happened.
e.g., "They must have had advanced tools."
- Might/May/Could have + past participle: Possible it happened.
e.g., "They might have used real soldiers as models."
- Can't/Couldn't have + past participle: Certain it did NOT happen.
e.g., "It can't have been a modern hoax."
